Since God created the world, He has had one mission….to expand His Kingdom! In Genesis 1, God commanded Adam and Eve to multiply and fill the earth…to expand His Kingdom! Centuries later, before ascending to the Father Jesus commissioned His apostles to go and make disciples all nations…to expand His Kingdom! In Revelation 7:9 we get a glimpse into the culmination of this as we read about the day when a great multitude from every nation, tribe, people, and tongue will stand before the throne worshipping the Lamb!

Six years ago we moved to Blacksburg to begin ministering to cadets at Virginia Tech. We were a family of four at the time and were just getting started in ministry. Since then, our family has grown larger and our ministry has grown deeper as God has given us three more children and cadets have piled into our living room and around our dining room table. Our signature wall serves as a frequent reminder of all the ministry that happened out of this home.

Two and a half years ago, through Isaiah 54:2-3, we sensed God calling us to enlarge our our home in order to expand His kingdom. Earlier this year, He confirmed through His Word and godly counsel that now was the time to begin. After closing the door on a possible home addition that would have added a dining room and an extra bedroom to our current home, the Lord began preparing our hearts to move into a larger home in Blacksburg.

A five-bedroom home in Blacksburg costs between $700,000-$800,000. To afford a home that can support this ministry and our family, we must raise a substantial amount of money, more than we have ever raised before.

We are trusting God to provide $2,700 in recurring monthly support through Oaks International that will be used for our mortgage. Additionally, we are asking God to provide a one-time lump sum of $80,000 in cash gifts directly to us, not through Oaks International, to help toward a down payment on the home.

We know that if God can command ravens to feed Elijah, He can provide money for our next home. We know that because the earth is the Lord’s and everything in it belongs to Him, God already has the resources available to provide all that we need. Most of all, we know that because He has already given us eternal life through His Son, we can trust Him for all other things.

Would you prayerfully consider being a part of this? At this time, we have two needs.

1. $2,700 in recurring monthly support. This can be given through our Oaks International giving page (link below). These funds will be used to help cover the increased mortgage that comes from the cost of the home as well as a higher interest rate.

2. A one-time lump sum of $80,000. This cannot be given through Oaks International and is not tax-deductible. This money must be given directly to us. These funds, combined with an equal amount from our home equity that we will put down, will help with a 20-25% downpayment.
